Upgrading RAM
G.Skill DDR RAM Upgrade for Dell GX270 Optiplex

Hello everyone! Last week I discovered that upgrading ram in my old dell would be the best option for me to make it last longer. I am sure you have run into this scenario with the machines you invested so much money in. People think that these computers will last forever and still be able to deal with all the new things that come out these days. Unfortunately, that is not the way it works anymore. However, the prices have been coming down in some market areas and people who could not afford a cheap computer part upgrade every 5 years are seeing that capability even within this terrible economy.

I needed more ddr RAM to run some stuff with Adobe Creative Suite 3 more effectively. The upgrade would also make my gameplay in World of Warcraft more formidable. Nobody likes lag in their game. I had 512mb of PC800 ram in the machine running in dual channel mode. That was the basic structure that Dell originally built it with. I actually went through my own website to find what I needed for a decent price. What I found was G.Skill on the top of the budget list. Of course this was for DDR3, but little did I know is that they ruled the regular DDR market for performance and price. In light of this I bought the maximum available. I got the 4 sticks of 1gb PC3200 DDR dual channel mode RAM.

Let me tell you, upgrading ram was anything short of a lifesaver for my aging system. Everything was super fast and I was able to do all the cool things that I needed to with ease. This upgrading RAM is definitely high performance and at a price of $55.99 for 2 sticks of 1gb dual channel RAM, you can't beat it. I should be able to have at least 2-3 years more life out of this machine before I will totally replace it. It is more for the use of my aging IDE hard drives.

If your computer is a bit older or maybe newer than my system, you can still find great reviews on discount computer parts to make your computer run like new. Please visit the computer ram memory for more information.
