You have probably seen that my ram review describes this to be one of the most important selections that you will make when building or upgrading your computer. The selection of the company is one thing, but the selection of size, dual/tri channel, timing and voltages are all big things depending on what you want to do with your computer ram.

Each computer motherboard will take a certain type or two of RAM. In reality, SDRAM, DDR, DDR2 and DDR3 exist, but only DDR versions are widely used anymore. The most popular right now is DDR2 because of the speed and price that is available at the moment. DDR3 is making headway, but its usage is only being used by the power hungry gamers and overclockers.
