The Intel Xeon X5680 was released in the beginning of 2010 with an incredible 6 cores and 12 threads going to them. The clock speed of 3.33ghz was around the same as others, but the turbo boost technology is capable of pushing it to 3.6ghz for each core! The 12mb of Cache makes this a hard computer CPU to beat.

I personally like the fact that it is only 32 nanometers for the CPU die. I was expecting a littler higher wattage than 130 watts, but it will do for now. The price will be coming down soon, but $1300 isn't something everybody can afford at the moment. The recesssion has made many people very slow on buying anything, but we will always buy what we need.

Since this computer processor is used on blade servers you may not be surprised by the amount of computer ram memory it can handle. If you can afford to buy 288GB of DDR3 1333mhz computer memory ram you tell me!I wouldn't mind testing that configuration up. I would mind trying to cool it down though!
