When you are purchasing a new computer case their are many things you should be looking for. One of the first questions you have to ask yourself is what kind of desktop computer case do I want? Each type consists of a different size and architectural layout. It can be very confusing for a person that is not sure what they need for themselves or whomever they are buying it for. I personally think you shouldn't complain if something is free!
The first thing I discover when doing a computer case review is you want to know when you pick a computer case is what size to buy. This all depends on what you want to put inside of it. If you are only looking for a basic computer with a DVD drive, computer video card, computer motherboard, computer hard drive, computer cpu and a power supply all you need is mini-tower or a mid-tower desktop computer case. A smaller computer can save you a lot of space and makes it better for portability. The only reason you would want a full tower computer case would be for future upgrades you might want to make. I usually buy unique computer cases for that purpose. However, I like to add watercooling and super huge computer video cards and such.
The second thing I discover when you do a computer case review is to find out what the quality of the desktop computer case is. You can find plenty of cool computer cases made of steel, but they are super heavy. I used to own one and it fell over a couple time and people spilled water over it and nothing bad every happened. It was complete protection. However many forms of plastic can provide just as much protection along with less vibration sound and weight. You must make sure that the interior is all metal guided rails and no plastic inserts. Plastic in direct contact with computer parts just doesn't do well with the apparent heat that it will have to withstand over a period of time.
