If you know about the ASUS vh242h please excuse me for stating the obvious.
Below you will find common specifications on the
computer monitor reviews and what
it is capable of. If you are not informed the contrast ratio is pretty good
for a pc monitor this size and the response time is very favorable for games.
However, the speakers are pretty weak and should be supplemented with a computer
speaker system or a surround sound system.

Overview
With the ASUS vh242h coming at you with 16:9 (HD) display you will love
what you see for the price. I am not saying that this can replace the
enjoyment or a 65 inch HDTV, but for a computer monitor it will be all you
need for the space you probably have provided. However, if you are interested
in that please visit my review of the

kind of viewing experience.
What people that buy a computer monitor want is something that has a clear
picture and is cheap. They especially want it cheap now that the economy
is not doing so well. I know about saving money on things because we have
all had to do it somehow and some way. This would be a great pc monitor
to do just that and give you the quality and performance that you are looking
for.
One small problem seems to be lingering through about 3% of the product
that are made though. A flicker of gray swirls and dots come across the
screen when it is under heavy load. Personally I don't like having
problems, but I am aware of some bad customer service and RMA with ASUS.
With all this said for the price you can't beat it and with over 90% of the
people having no problems and great performance it seems like a winner.
All you really need is 1 bad egg to make something look horrible though. If
you look at the competition you will find sub par performance and similar
or worse problems.
Price
You can get the ASUS VH242H
for around $175 from an online retailer. You will be hard pressed to find that
price unless it is black friday or christmas. You may be able to get a deal on a
refurbished product, but who wants something that had a bad part in it. It just raises
the possibility of another bad product being in it!
