Arctic Cooling MX-3 review

Overview

The Arctic Cooling MX-3 is the best thermal compound available on the market. It's really only competition is the Arctic Silver 5, which has been available for a very long time. I am guessing that the need for a better thermal compound hasn't been needed enough to really research it that much.

Some of the good things that this thermal paste has is great thermal conductivity and low thermal resistance. This helps heat transfer from the computer CPU to the CPU cooler. It also is non-electrical conductive, non-capacitive, and non-corrosive. This pretty much makes it the safest stuff on the market as well. It will make installing your computer CPU safer and keep the other computer parts from starting fire.

I think one of the good things is "cure" time is zero. Arctic Silver 5 takes a couple hours and you have to burn it in. People love the fact they are getting decreases in temp of 4-12 degrees celcius over Arctic Silver 5 after applying it. This helps them overclock even more than they already are.

You can buy the Arctic Cooling MX-3 for around $10 from an online retailer. They don't sell this at your local retail store. Matter fact they don't sell the Arctic Cooling MX-2 or the Arctic Silver 5 at local stores. They can only be bought online.
