The speed of the SATA port coupled with the speed of the sata hard drive makes this to be a extremely high performance computer hard drive. Of course, other features come into play as well.
The Cache is great at 32 MB, but only shows a mild upgrade from 16 MB. Most of the increase in performance comes from its outright speed. I personally love the energy saving feature that allows it to be up to 80% efficient and helps keep the computer hard drive cool and quiet. I definitely don't like loud sata hard drives. I would think about getting a Solid State Drive, but the price just doesn't seem like a deal. Who has money to waste these days anyway?
If you ever get scared that you dropped your computer and all the data may be gone and the computer hard drive is broken you can rest assured with the 5 year warranty. The manufacturer will uphold any problems that may occur to the computer hard drive within reason. I wouldn't try seeing if the sata hard drive could float, but it would be a nice experiment.....
