The Intel Core i7 950 review shows to be just like everybody thinks it is; a simple copy of a higher tier computer processor. Once again I am faced with the fact that the only change with a lower speed computer cpu is the speed itself. Making reviews for it is quite easy for it though.
Cores - Quad Speed - 3.06ghz L2 Cache - 4x 256kb L3 cache - 8mb Voltage - 1.2 Size - 45nm Watts - 130wExtras - Heatsink and fan Warranty - 3 years Socket - LGA 1366
The Intel Core i7 950 review shows the obvious in this review. As you can see from above only two things changed with this computer cpu rather than the 975. The speed and the price. If you are shopping right now the price should make your eyeballs go out a little bit. At .27ghz higher the Intel Core i7 975 is $430 US dollars more! Do you believe that .27ghz is worth $430 dollars. I would say, I can overclock this with the stock Heatsink and fan and get that .27ghz back with less than 5 minutes work and hardly a couple degrees extra in temp because of Intel's temperature dampening technology upgrades.
Now that I have settled main issue with this computer cpu it is up to you to read my other article (Intel Core i7 975 review for the full scoop on this computer processor. I would hate to bore you with two articles that talk about the exact same thing, but remember that this one is the way better deal according to price, but according to speed it loses to its faster counterpart. You can get more information at cpu reviews.
The Intel Core i7 950
can be purchased for around $570 from an online retailer. You may find some retail store approaching this price range during black friday, but
that is the last time you will see anything close to that is not online. I think you can even get a slightly cheaper deal for this once the deals
start going online.
