Overview
The Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 review shows that this is a great computer cpu for anybody who does a lot of cpu intensive things that would benefit
from multi-threading. If you do graphic design and have lots of programs open with very large size files or video encoding and decoding or even just
using some heavy duty business software that may have design specifications, which have been known to crash machines because of lag you will love
this computer processor.
The controversy of the C1 stepping and the E0 stepping for this computer cpu is one that is worth mentioning. The C1 stepping has been known to
not do well under heavy stress, but under normal use it seems to work just fine. On the other hand the E0 stepping seems to do very well under stress
and people have had no problems with it. THe computer processor already runs hot because of its 95 watts unlike the I7 core that is pretty close
in favorability because of its price for lower models like the 920 that I reviewed. If you are an overclocker I would stay away from the C1 stepping
if you could, but in normal use you will not have any real problems. You can find more information at
cpu reviews.
Price
You can purchase the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
for around $270 at an online retailer. You may not find a brand new computer processor like this available for this price. The Christmas
holidays may bring up deals, but not like this one!
