The Gigabyte ga-g31m-es2l may seem like another cheap gigabyte motherboard, but it is way more than that. Just like the ASUS P5N-D motherboard you will find that this one boasts almost the same specifications, but like the ASUS board it is loved by many.

Overview

I can simply start by saying the Gigabyte ga-g31m-es2l is very close to most of its counterparts. It does have some great differences that you may love. The overclocking is very good on this gigabyte motherboard. People have increased their CPU speeds easily by 1.1+ ghz. I would talk about overclocking the computer ram memory, but since it is DDR2 what is the use?

I guess my second explanation should state that you are looking for a cheap computer motherboard. Why would you think about overclocking something so cheap and slightly outdated for the high end spenders. Basically, you are a beginner and want to learn all you can. Dispite all this bad news another big overclocking computer motherboard is susceptible to having DOAs or burning up fast if you are don't do your homework with overclocking about 6-8% of the time. I say this honestly that you shouldn't buy it if you think you don't know what you are doing because you may just break this gigabyte motherboard. RMA may produce a better version, but why deal with all the wasted time.

You can buy the Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L for around $50 from an online retailer, which is a very good deal. You won't find this in local stores anymore because it is not new. As you have read it has too many good points to pass up if you are short on money, but big on need!
