Specifications

I would love to go through the specs with the AMD Athlon II X2 240 review, but this is the exactly the same computer processor as the AMD Athlon II X2 245 cpu reviews that was number 1 for this section for Quarter 4 of 2010. You may wonder; why would he make a seperate webpage for almost the same computer cpu. This computer cpu is still number 2 and deserves its only little write-up, but not enough to make you want to fall asleep.

  • Overview

The AMD Athlon II X2 240 review is another great amd cpu that is very similar to its cousin the 245. It is running at .13ghz slower, but still packs near the same amount of punch when it comes to price over performance. You may wonder why somebody would even bother making a slightly slower one for any reason.

The way pricing goes, the fastest computer cpu will have an very absorbent price tag on it while the slower one will be much cheaper. This only happens when it is first released. This is when everybody buys the slightly slower one and try to make it work like the higher one will or will overclock it to death. A couple months later the higher priced one will drop in price a lot, but still be higher than the other one. The AMD Athlon II X2 240 review shows that the AMD Athlon II X2 240 and AMD Athlon II X2 245 are within $10 US dollars of each other. You would obviously pick the faster one..... right. Of course its just .13ghz, but we want all we can get for the best price!

On that note, I must deploy you to the better computer cpu (AMD Athlon II X2 245 review). It will show you that these two computer processors are one in the same and because of pricing the faster one is the better choice!

    Price

You can purchase the Athlon II X2 240 for around $60 at an online retailer. You probably won't even find this computer cpu in the stores since they get rid of older products because newer higher priced ones are available. That is where they make their money!
